5 Great tips on how to instantly feel better with your partner

The clues in the word - Partner! How many of us (including your partner!) really work on partnership. So here are my 5 great tips on instantly feeling better about each other.

1. Give each other compliments
Do you do this every day, or do you just presume your partner knows how you feel about him/her? Do it today, regardless of how you feel, or what time of day it is, or how busy! Stop and tell you partner how sexy/handsome/pretty/clever/inspiring/fabulous they are. You'll be amazed how this makes you both feel.

2. Give unconditionally
Give compliments and love unconditionally, this doesn't mean that you should never get anything back, but don't give something expecting a pay off, try just giving unconditionally, it's amazing how liberating this can be, and ironically it unconditional giving raises our self esteem.

3. Ban the blame
Blame is SOOOO bad!! It puts us in an emotional straight jacket and never leads to a useful dialogue. Get rid of it! It makes us feel so bad about ourselves. Instead of blaming each other work out how you can work together to help each other feel better about the relationship.

4. Own stuff
Own up to the bits you could do better. Once you stop blaming you can think of how you can improve your side of the relationship, once we stop being defensive and passing the buck we can say 'sorry' about this or that. This may sound incredibly difficult but it's not! It's amazingly liberating for you and your partner.

5.HAVE SOME SILLY FUN, BE FRIENDS, AND HUG LOTS (AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU FANCY!)
In other words, lighten up sometimes. Remember what it was like when you first met, when you could think of nothing else. Laughter is the very best thing for helping improve relationships and self esteem. Relationships that have some fun, intimate, childish moments are the lasting ones.

GO ON - Try these things today, and please let me know how you get on!
